Masala Dosa Recipe- Super Suvai Tamil

One of the best South Indian breakfasts is dosa, there are many varieties of dosa some of them are masala dosa, podi dosa, onion dosa, dal dosa, etc.In this post, I am going to share the special masala dosa recipe. This recipe is a hotel-style recipe, you can do it easily and healthily in your home.
What is the Masala Dosa recipe?
Masala Dosa is a kind of stuffed recipe. The spicy potato masala is used as stuff here. Masala dosa goes well with sambar and chutney varieties.Try out my breakfast recipes:
Ingredients required for Masala Dosa recipe:
- Homemade Dosa Batter (Dosa Maavu)- As required
- Potato (Urulaikilangu)- 250 grams
- Green Chili (Pachai Milagai)- four
- Onion (Vengayam)- 3 nos
- Mustard seeds (Kadugu)- one tablespoon
- Turmeric Powder (Manjal Thool)- half tablespoon
- Salt (Uppu in Tamil)- As per your taste
- Urad Dal (Ulutham Paruppu)- One tablespoon
- Curry Leaves (Karuveppilai)-One Strand
- Coriander leaves (Kothamalli Ilai)- For garnishing
- Ginger (Inji)- one-inch size
- Roasted Bengal Gram (Pottukadalai)- Two tablespoons
Masala Dosa Recipe Cooking Method:
Masala Potato Stuff preparation:
- In a pressure cooker, add potato, salt, water and cook it for 3 cooker whistle.
- Peel off the potatoes, mash them and keep them in a separate bowl.
- Heat some oil in the pan, temper mustard seeds and urad dal.
- Then add finely chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, and curry leaves and saute till the raw smell of onion goes off
- Then add half a cup water, turmeric powder, salt, and let the onions cook.
- Once it is boiled, add mashed potatoes and coriander leaves.
- Finally, add the roasted Bengal gram powder and take it off the stove.
Masala Dosa Cooking Preparation:
- Heat the dosa pan once it gets heated, pour one big spoon of dosa batter, and make a very thin dosa possible.
- When the dosa gets ready, put one spoon of masala potato stuff and one spoon of chutney in one half of the dosa.
- Fold the dosa and serve it hot with sambar or any chutney.
