In this post, I am going to give you the recipe for an easy snack. There are different varieties of snacks. Some are crispy and some are soft and fluffy. Our easy snacks are a crispy snacks recipe. It is made with onions and flour and its steps are very simple just follow my guidelines while preparing this recipe.

The volume of ingredients is for 2 people. You can modify the ratio of the ingredients as per your serving size. The preparation time and cooking time are 10minutes and 15 minutes respectively.

Ingredients required for easy snacks recipe:

  • Onions (Vengayam)- 2(Big size)
  • Gram Flour (Salicha Kadalai Maavu)- 1 cup
  • Rice Flour (Pacharisi Maavu)- 3 tablespoons
  • Chili powder (Sigappu Milagai Thool)- 1 tablespoon
  • Salt (Uppu in Tamil)- As required
  • Food color(Orange)- one pinch or As required
  • Water (Thanneer)- one cup
  • Oil (Ennai)- As required

Easy snacks recipe cooking method:

  1. Onion is the main ingredient of these snacks. The size of the Onions is very important for this recipe. So cut the onions into slices very carefully, all slices should be the same size.
  2. For the coating of onions, we have to prepare the batter, for that take a mixing bowl and add gram flour, rice flour, salt, and butter.
  3. Mix it thoroughly for a good taste, then gradually add water and make it a smooth paste.
  4. Add food color to the paste and finally add the sliced onions.
  5. Heat an adequate quantity of oil in the pan for frying. Once the oil is heated, add the onion batter as a separate portion in the oil
  6. Deep fry it, wait till it becomes golden brown in color.
  7. Take the fried pieces out of oil and decorate them with some curry leaves and serve the easy snacks to your beloved once.
