Tamil Nadu Style Vendakkai Soup Recipe- Super Suvai Tamil
In this blog post, I am sharing the Vendakkai(Lady's finger) soup recipe. Vendakkai is used in many Indian traditional foods. Lady's finger soup is very tasty and healthy.

Ingredients required for Vendakkai Soup recipe:
- Lady's finger(Vendakkai)- 300 grams
- Tomato (Thakkali)- one big-size
- Big Onion (Vengayam)- 1
- Pepper (Milagu)- 8 nos
- Green Chili (Pachai Milagai)- one
- Turmeric Powder (Manjal Thool)- half tablespoon
- Cinnamon (Lavanga Pattai)- one inch
- Bay leaf (Birnji Ilai)- 1 leaf
- Salt (Uppu in Tamil)- As required
- Coriander leaves (Kothamalli Ilai)- For Garnishing
- Moong Dal (Pasi Payaru)- 2 tablespoons
- Lemon Juice (Elumichai Saaru)- one tablespoon
- Water (Thanneer)- three cups
Vendakkai Soup Recipe Cooking Method:
- Finely Chop the onions, tomato, green chilies, lady's finger, and coriander leaves.
- Heat some oil in the pan, add cinnamon, bay leaf, and saute well for a minute.
- Then add chopped onions, green chilies, and saute till the raw smell goes off.
- Now add the chopped lady's finger, lemon juice, and saute well.
- Then add three cups of water and add chopped tomato, turmeric powder, salt, pepper and mix well let it boil.
- Once the lady's finger is cooked, add boiled moong dal and let it boil highly.
- Finally, add finely chopped coriander leaves for garnishing.
